1.Acceptance of these terms

By accessing this website or using the AtlasBrain software, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the website or the software.

2.Who we are

AtlasBrain is operated by Bruno Tougeiro, founder of the AtlasBrain project. Products and services will be brought under a Portuguese single-member limited company ("sociedade unipessoal por quotas") prior to the launch of any paid service. Contact: support@atlasbrain.io.

3.The software license

Your use of the AtlasBrain software is governed by the AtlasBrain End-User License Agreement, which is distributed with the software. The EULA grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to run the software on your own devices, and prohibits reverse engineering, redistribution, and modification. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the EULA regarding the software, the EULA prevails.

4.Your data

AtlasBrain is a local-first application. Your memories, notes, and encryption keys are stored on your own device and are not transmitted to us. You are responsible for keeping your passphrase and your 24-word Genesis Seed safe: if you lose both, your vault is unrecoverable by design, and we cannot help you recover it. How your data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

5.Acceptable use

You agree not to use the website or the software to:

• violate any applicable law or regulation;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, network, or other user's data;
• distribute malware or otherwise attempt to compromise the software's integrity or the security of its users;
• infringe the intellectual-property rights of others.

6.Intellectual property

The AtlasBrain software, website, branding, and related materials are the intellectual property of the operator and are protected by copyright and other laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to them except the limited license described in the EULA and the right to view this website.

7.Third-party services

The software can connect to third-party AI services (such as Claude or Cursor) that you separately configure. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, and our website may link to them for your convenience.

8.No warranty

The website and software are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. This does not affect statutory rights that applicable law does not permit to be excluded, including your consumer rights under EU law.

9.Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of data, profits, or use, arising from or related to your use of the website or the software.

10.Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised "last updated" date. Continued use of the website or software after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11.Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. The courts of Portugal have exclusive jurisdiction, except that, where you are a consumer, you benefit from the mandatory consumer-protection rights and jurisdiction of your country of residence under EU law.

12.Severability and contact
